We offer the lowest cost combination of registration and administration fees in Canada!

Registration and Administration Fee

Operating an Intendo Benefits Administration Inc. Private Health Services Plan (PHSP) is as simple as “register once and claim as needed”:

  1. A one-time registration fee of only $75 is charged to get your plan established, which is also exempt from tax. This entitles you as the employer (Plan Owner) to add new or update existing employees (Plan Members) via the PHSP claim form, with no annual renewal fees. To register, just complete and submit the registration form along with the registration fee payable from your business account to Intendo Benefits Administration Inc.
  2. When you submit a claim, you will be charged an administration fee of either:
    • 4% of the total medical expenses if it is $2,000 plus or
    • 5% of the total medical expenses if it is below $2,000, subject to a minimum administration fee of $5 per claim (this implies that claims for less than $100 will be charged $5 instead of the usual 5% administration fee)
    • Note: Our aim is to perform the adjudication and issue a reimbursement payment within 2-3 business days of receiving your claim and the applicable payment being deposited into our bank account.
  3. The employer (Plan Owner) receives a tax receipt for every claim submitted under the plan, which should be retained and used for claiming the full amount as a deductible expense for business tax purposes in Canada.

No premiums or extra fees

In addition to the lowest combined cost, there are no monthly or annual premiums and no extra fees for:

  • Adds, changes or deletes to the category of any covered employees (Plan Members)
  • Multiple submissions per year; claims can be submitted at the frequency of your choice, e.g. monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, annually or as often as you prefer.
  • Keeping your plan active, even if you do not make a claim during a given year. We will only securely purge your account if it remains inactive after 7 years from your last transaction. See our Privacy Policy.
